Challenge
When Boehringer Ingelheim launched its evolved corporate brand identity in 2023, the team built an extensive Brand Hub based on the Frontify platform. From day one, the Brand Hub was the central resource for all information related to corporate brand identity.
As the Brand Hub quickly expanded — with areas such as digital and spatial experience hubs and a template center — it became harder to find relevant information in the huge amount of content, guidelines, and assets. Boehringer Ingelheim required a more intuitive and expandable setup that simplified access to key assets and streamlined navigation across libraries and templates.
That’s where Evernow came in: The digital agency leveraged Frontify’s theme technology to create a scalable solution tailored to the company’s evolving brand landscape.

Solution
Evernow has been working for Boehringer Ingelheim since 2024. As brand governance partner, the agency is responsible for the Brand Hub, Brand Helpdesk, and Brand Design Services, including the digital design system. Together, they relaunched the Frontify Brand Hub to address these challenges.
Using Frontify’s Brand SDK, Evernow customized and restructured the platform to reflect Boehringer Ingelheim’s brand and design system. By developing a custom theme, they transformed the Hub into a more modern, app-like experience. UX enhancements included a custom animated navigation and more intuitive features — including a more consistent setup of guidelines with optimized jump links — to help users reach the right sections faster. Additionally, the team at Evernow developed and integrated new brand portals, such as digital and spatial hubs, into the environment.

Result
The transformation of Boehringer Ingelheim’s Brand Hub has been extensive. The new custom theme improved usability and made it easier to find content, which led to greater acceptance across all teams. Everything — from the layout to the user experience — feels smoother and more accessible.
The Brand Hub enables Boehringer Ingelheim to craft stronger storytelling experiences. The team has also been able to customize and refine the site structure to enhance usability, support content discoverability, and create a more intuitive user journey.
Short URLs enable quicker responses from the Brand Helpdesk, while streamlined navigation with better-structured divisions simplifies the process for users to locate guidelines, templates, and assets. Users access brand elements more frequently, libraries gain visibility, and the integration with the brand platform has improved support. Additionally, the teams can easily add new sections and content to scale brand guidance more effectively.
To bring the corporate brand team’s vision to life, Evernow and Frontify launched the improved Brand Hub and the new content simultaneously: They leveraged Themes to build a visually distinct portal that aligns with Boehringer Ingelheim’s next phase of brand development and is ready to scale.
